Dr. Forbes, O.D.

Dr. Robert Forbes is a native Oregonian with over thirty years’ experience in optometry. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry, in Forest Grove Oregon in 1993. In addition to owning multiple practice locations and an optical lens manufacturing laboratory in the Portland area, Dr. Forbes has served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Pacific University, and an instructor for the Optometric Technician Program at Clark County Community College. Dr. Forbes recently retired with the rank of Lt Col after proudly serving as Chief of Optometric Services in both the Oregon and Washington Air National Guard. Dr. Forbes has extensively traveled on numerous Medical Missions providing eye care services to under-served communities both within the USA and abroad, and most recently resided in rural central Washington. Dr. Forbes grew up in both the rural farmland and wooded Cascades and coastal forests of Oregon and has a love for all things outdoors. Desiring to be nearer to his two sons and family, and drawn to the plentiful outdoor activities afforded in Southern Oregon, he has relocated to Klamath Falls.

Dr. Locken, O.D.

Dr. Kory Locken and his wife Cassie have arrived back in their hometown of Klamath Falls after the completion of his Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. As a student athlete, Dr. Locken finished his undergraduate studies at the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2013 where he majored in Biology-Health Sciences. Dr. Locken still holds the single season and career stolen base records for the Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owls baseball team where he started in center field for his entire 4 year career. He passed up on an invitation to professional spring training tryouts in order to complete his undergraduate studies. Dr. Locken’s journey to become an Optometrist began after landing a job as an Ophthalmic Technician in Ashland, Oregon in 2013. There he became fascinated with the eyes and their critical role in overall health and well being. Dr. Locken spent 7 years working as a highly trained Certified Ophthalmic Technician in preparation for Optometry school, most of those years spent at Klamath Eye Center. One of the countless things that Dr. Locken cherishes is the relationships that he builds with his patients and he is committed to providing above and beyond eye care. Services include comprehensive adult and pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, treatment and management of complex ocular disease and much more. His passion for optometry is evident in his personalized approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality of service tailored for their unique needs. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Locken enjoys spending time with his amazing wife and family, including their two fur babies, breaking a sweat at the gym and watching Formula 1 on the weekends.

Dr. Jonathan Fay, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Fay is pleased to return home to beautiful Klamath Falls to join his father and the Klamath Eye Center in the practice of ophthalmology. His areas of expertise are in cornea and external eye disease including: cataract surgery, cornea transplants, corneal degenerations, infectious diseases, and LASIK. He also provides comprehensive care to patients with diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma. After graduating from Klamath Union High School, Dr. Fay attended college at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where he was recognized for his academic and athletic performance in track and field. He then attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University and internship at Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Fay continued his training in ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He then went on to Columbia University in New York where he received fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery and served as a surgical instructor, teaching cataract surgery to ophthalmology residents. Dr. Fay brings to Klamath Falls new areas of expertise in ophthalmology and in doing so joins the Klamath Eye Center in offering state of the art care to their patients. However, what he enjoys most about ophthalmology is offering meaningful and personal care to his patients, and what better way to do this than in the community he grew up in! Outside of medicine Dr. Fay is a husband and father. He enjoys almost any form of exercise and outdoor activity, especially with family and friends.

Dr. Stevens, M.D.

Dr. Stevens and his wife Cassi moved to Klamath Falls in 2009 after the completion of his ophthalmic residency at West Virginia University.  Dr. Stevens also holds a degree in Humanities from Brigham Young University and completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. As a general ophthalmologist, Dr. Stevens enjoys being able to make an immediate difference in people’s lives through cataract surgery.  His interaction with patients is easily his favorite part of practicing at Klamath Eye Center.  In addition to cataract surgery Dr. Stevens’ practice also covers eye disease treatment and management, Medical Laser Surgery, as well as comprehensive eye care.  His charm, humor and humble approach has endeared him to his patients and co-workers at Klamath Eye Center. The Stevens family enjoys traveling and a diverse collection of cultural experiences.  They also enjoy the many natural wonders of the Klamath Basin and its outdoor activities.  Besides Klamath Falls, Dr. Stevens has lived in Utah, Missouri, Arizona, West Virginia, and Brazil. *Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology

Dr. Mark Fay, M.D.

Dr. Fay’s path to ophthalmology began as a junior high student, when he was hired by an ophthalmologist to do work around the doctor’s home, yard and office. After earning an undergraduate degree at North Dakota State, he started Medical School at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Fay completed medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He spent the next two years serving the U.S. Public Health Service as a primary care physician, he then returned to the University of California, San Diego completing his residency in ophthalmology. Loving the sunshine, Dr. Fay and his family settled into Klamath Falls to begin practicing general ophthalmology in 1989. Outgoing, personable and having a genuine care for people, Dr. Fay’s patients truly appreciate his surgical and medical care. Cataract surgery, Eyelid surgery (medically necessary and cosmetic), strabismus surgery, eye disease treatment and management, medical laser surgery, and routine vision care are all included in the scope of Dr. Fay’s expertise.  He has also been treating patients with Botox for medical and cosmetic needs for over 20 years (though he claims to only be 29 years old). Outside of the office, Dr. Fay enjoys spending time with his family.  He also enjoys outdoor activities and as much exercise as he can get. *Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology
