Dr. Kory Locken and his wife Cassie have arrived back in their hometown of Klamath Falls after the completion of his Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California.
As a student athlete, Dr. Locken finished his undergraduate studies at the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2013 where he majored in Biology-Health Sciences. Dr. Locken still holds the single season and career stolen base records for the Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owls baseball team where he started in center field for his entire 4 year career. He passed up on an invitation to professional spring training tryouts in order to complete his undergraduate studies.
Dr. Locken’s journey to become an Optometrist began after landing a job as an Ophthalmic Technician in Ashland, Oregon in 2013. There he became fascinated with the eyes and their critical role in overall health and well being. Dr. Locken spent 7 years working as a highly trained Certified Ophthalmic Technician in preparation for Optometry school, most of those years spent at Klamath Eye Center.
One of the countless things that Dr. Locken cherishes is the relationships that he builds with his patients and he is committed to providing above and beyond eye care. Services include comprehensive adult and pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, treatment and management of complex ocular disease and much more. His passion for optometry is evident in his personalized approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality of service tailored for their unique needs.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Locken enjoys spending time with his amazing wife and family, including their two fur babies, breaking a sweat at the gym and watching Formula 1 on the weekends.
